When she rouses from a dizzy feeling stupor, Thodstone is gone and instead it is Givenchy waiting for her. It feels as though her entire body has been kicked by a horse. Not that she’s ever met a horse, but one can imagine.As she turns over she hears, “You lived!” Givenchy says cheerily. “Not that we’ve ever had one die.”
